About Randall House
We're a church. So why do we make our space available for the community? We do so because God is the Creator of all things, and He's created us in His image. He tells us to image forth Him in a multitude of ways. He's also given us a variety of gifts, talents, resources, and opportunities to do just that. For too long, many have made a false distinction between the sacred and the secular. Our building is not sacred space any more than a basketball court is such. To put it another way, a basketball court owned by a Sports Club is sacred if one plays for the glory of God, just as a building owned by a church is sacred if used for the same reason. God is interested in all of life, not just Sunday morning. He's interested in us reflecting His character and blessing others all the time. |
Our goal is to make our space available for different kinds of occasions to celebrate God's goodness and put His beauty on display. To that end, we host certain events for which we don't charge a fee. Those events include bible studies, lecture series, educational seminars, panel discussions, counseling training, and so much more. We allow others to use our space in certain ways free of charge. Whenever we're open, we hope you'll come in and enjoy our common space to relax, drink a cup of coffee, get some work done, meet some friends, or whatever. Of course, as noted, God has created people with different talents and resources. We develop systems of exchange based on that reality that we might gain from the gifts and resources of others, while they gain from our gifts and resources.

That means we have something to give, but it also means we have expenses, and so we do charge for certain events like weddings, community events, and celebrations of all kinds. We still want to serve even in these situations, and our pricing is therefore quite reasonable. Beyond that, we don't want to be in competition with our neighbors. We utilize their products and services when we can. We're not "in business," and we're certainly not "in business" to take away their business. Rather, we want to promote their business. That's part of what it means to be a good neighbor, and that too glorifies God. We're seeking to be a part of and add to the vibrant culture of downtown Greer. We hope you'll be a part of it in one way or another.
